Why we built this
We did not set out to start a dating company. We built a live games platform for pubs and venues, watched a few hundred rooms full of strangers end up laughing at the same thing within five minutes, and realised the hardest problem in dating was one we had already solved by accident.
The problem was never meeting people. Anyone can put forty single people in a bar. The problem is the eight minutes sat opposite someone with nothing left to say, and the fact that the format everyone uses makes that moment more likely rather than less.
So Let's Go Meet is a night out where the room plays together. The games are not a theme or a gimmick, they are the mechanism: they give people something to do, they move everybody on before a conversation can stall, and they make the introductions that a room of strangers cannot make for itself.
Everything else follows from that. Numbers instead of names, because it is easier to shout across a bar. Private, mutual-only picking, because no format survives people finding out in the room that they were not chosen. And the introduction handled by us afterwards, so nobody has to ask for a phone number across a table.
Who we are
Let's Go Meet is run by Let's Automate Ltd, registered in England and Wales, the company behind Let's Go Games — a live entertainment platform of seventeen games used in venues across the UK. Every Let's Go Meet night runs on it.
We are a small team. If you email us, one of us reads it. info@letsautomate.info
Where we are going
More towns, more often, and a network of people running these nights in their own places rather than us running all of them from ours. If that sounds like something you would want to do, we would like to hear from you.
