Can I come on my own?
That is how these work. We sell one ticket per person and we do not do group bookings, so nobody in the room arrives as part of a crowd you have to break into. Everyone walks in on their own, and everyone knows everyone else did too.
What actually happens on the night?
Doors at seven, a game everyone plays at once at half past, table teams, short mingle rounds where the screen pairs the room and moves you on after ninety seconds, then private picking near the end. Finished around ten. The whole run is published on the How it works page.
Do I need to download an app?
No. You scan a code on the big screen and everything runs in your phone's browser. There is no app store, no account and nothing to install.
Will I be sat opposite someone being interviewed?
No. There is no round where two people are put across a table with nothing to do but assess each other. Every part of the evening gives you something to do together, and every round ends on a timer so no conversation traps you.
How does the matching work?
Near the end you privately pick the people you would like to meet again, from a small fixed number of picks. Where two people have picked each other, we introduce them by email the next day. Nobody is told who picked them, and nobody gets a message saying they were not matched.
Who else will be there?
Adults over 18. Beyond that we do not screen or vet anyone, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Use the judgement you would use meeting anyone new.
What if I feel uncomfortable?
Find the host. You will be taken seriously and you will not have to explain yourself in front of the room. We can and do ask people to leave.
Can I get a refund?
Full refund up to 48 hours before the event starts. After that we cannot refund, because by then the night is planned around the numbers. If you cannot make it, email us anyway.
What does it cost?
Fifteen pounds a ticket, and that is the whole price. No booking fee, no card fee, nothing added at checkout. Drinks are your own at the venue bar.
