This page says what we collect when you buy a ticket to a Let's Go Meet event, what we do with it, and how long we keep it. It is short because we collect very little.
Who is responsible for your information
Let's Automate Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 16792650 at 71 Dunmore Road, Market Harborough, England, LE16 8AZ, trading as Let's Go Games, is the data controller for everything on this site and for every Let's Go Meet event. You can reach us at info@letsautomate.info.
What we collect, and why
- Your name and email address, so we can check you in and tell you anything you need to know before the night.
- Your age band, and your confirmation that you are 18 or over, because our events are for adults and we need a record that you told us so.
- An interest you pick from a list, which we use to seat the room sensibly.
- Your picks on the night, if you take part in the picking. These are private and are never shown to anyone.
That is the whole list. We do not ask for your phone number, your address, your date of birth or anything about your health, beliefs, ethnicity or sexuality, and you should not put any of that into the free text on a booking form.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information, and we never will.
- We do not share it with other guests. Nobody at an event sees another guest's contact details, ever.
- We do not tell anyone who picked them, and we do not tell anyone they were not picked.
- We do not add you to a marketing list because you bought a ticket. If you want to hear about future events you have to say so separately, and you can stop at any time.
Payments
Tickets are paid for through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe processes your payment as a data controller in its own right and holds your payment record under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We delete your registration details and your picks within 30 days of the event. Three exceptions: if you have asked to hear about future events we keep your email until you tell us to stop; if you matched with someone and asked us to pass the introduction on, we keep that record; and we keep what we have to keep for accounting and tax, which is the payment record rather than anything about who you liked.
Where your information lives
Our systems store data in the European Union. Stripe processes payments under its own arrangements. If we ever need to move data outside the UK or EEA we will say so here first.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Email info@letsautomate.info and we will deal with it within a month, usually much sooner. You do not need to give a reason.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all unless you say yes to them. We use Google Analytics to see which pages actually help people book a ticket, and it only loads if you accept the banner. Say no and nothing is set and nothing is tracked. Your choice is remembered in your own browser.
Two other things reach out beyond this site: fonts are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google, and when you go through to pay, Stripe sets its own cookies, which are necessary for the payment to work and are covered by its policy.
Changes
If we change this page we will update the date at the top. If we ever change it in a way that materially affects people who have already bought tickets, we will email them.
