Ticket terms and code of conduct
Last updated September 2026
This page covers two things: the terms you agree to when you buy a ticket for a Let's Go Meet event, and how we expect everyone to behave on the night. Buying a ticket means accepting both.
We have written this in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you buy.
1. Who we are
Let's Go Meet events are run by Let's Automate Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16792650, trading as Let's Go Games. Our registered office is 71 Dunmore Road, Market Harborough, England, LE16 8AZ. You can reach us at info@letsautomate.info and we aim to reply within two working days.
2. Your ticket
- A ticket admits one named person. It is not a group booking.
- The name, email address and details you give at checkout are the details we will use to check you in, so please give your own and make sure they are right.
- If you need to pass your ticket to someone else, email us before the event and we will transfer it if we can. Please do not simply send someone in your place, because we will not be expecting them.
- Your ticket covers entry and taking part in the evening. It does not include food or drink unless the event listing says otherwise.
3. Over 18s only
Let's Go Meet events are for adults aged 18 and over. You confirm your age when you buy a ticket. We may ask for photo ID at the door, and we will refuse entry without a refund to anyone who cannot show they are over 18.
4. Refunds, cancellations and changes
- You can cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before the event starts. Email us and we will refund the full ticket price to the card you paid with.
- Inside 48 hours we cannot offer a refund, because by then we have committed to the venue and planned the evening around the numbers. If something serious has happened, tell us anyway and we will do what we reasonably can.
- If you do not turn up, we cannot refund the ticket.
- If we cancel the event, you get a full refund. If we move it to a different date or venue, you can either come to the new one or take a full refund.
- If we ask you to leave under the code of conduct below, or refuse you entry under it, no refund is due.
Because a ticket is for an event on a specific date, the usual 14 day right to change your mind about an online purchase does not apply. The refund policy above is what applies instead, and it is more generous than the law requires.
5. How many tickets we sell
Every event has a limited number of places and sales close when it is full. We may also limit particular ticket types so that the room stays balanced, because that is what makes the evening work for everyone in it. If we cannot run an event because too few people have booked, we will tell you as early as we can and refund you in full.
6. Code of conduct
This is the part that matters most. Everyone in the room is there to meet people, and everyone is entitled to a good evening. By buying a ticket you agree to all of the following.
- Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, intimidation, aggression or persistent unwanted attention, in person or afterwards.
- Take no for an answer, first time. If someone steps away, changes the subject or does not want to continue talking, leave it there.
- No discriminatory or abusive language or behaviour of any kind, including about someone's race, religion, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or age.
- Do not photograph or film other guests without asking them first, and do not post pictures of anyone who has not agreed to it.
- Do not share other guests' details. What people tell you on the night stays between you and them.
- Drink sensibly. The venue's own rules apply, and we can refuse entry to anyone who arrives intoxicated.
- Tell the host if something is wrong. If anyone makes you uncomfortable, find the host. You will be taken seriously, and you do not have to explain yourself in front of the room.
7. If the code of conduct is broken
The host can refuse entry to anyone, or ask anyone to leave at any point, if they believe the code of conduct has been broken. That decision is theirs to make on the night and no refund is due. If you are asked to leave, any matches or introductions you would otherwise have received are cancelled, and we may decline to sell you tickets to future events.
If something happens that you want to raise after the event, email us. We will look into it properly, and where it is serious we will act, including declining future bookings and, where appropriate, involving the police.
8. What we do not do
We want to be straight with you about this. We do not carry out background checks, identity verification beyond age, or any other vetting on the people who attend. A ticket means somebody bought a ticket, nothing more. Use the same judgement you would use meeting anyone new, tell someone where you are going, and arrange your own way home.
Anything that happens between you and another guest after the event is between the two of you. We introduce people; we are not responsible for what follows.
9. Your information
When you buy a ticket we collect:
- your name and email address
- your age band and your confirmation that you are 18 or over
- an interest you have chosen, which we use to seat the room
We use this to run the event and to contact you about it. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with other guests or with anyone else except where we have to by law.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe holds your payment record under its own terms.
We delete your registration details within 30 days of the event, unless you have asked us to keep you on a list for future events, or we need to keep something longer for a legal or accounting reason. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@letsautomate.info.
10. Photography at the event
We may take photographs at some events for our own marketing. If we are going to, we will tell you at the start of the evening and you can tell the host you would rather not be in them. We will not use a photograph of you if you have said no.
11. The venue
Events are held at venues we do not own. The venue's own rules, opening hours, dress code and licensing conditions apply while you are there, alongside these terms.
12. Liability
We will run the event with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for losses we could not reasonably have expected, for the behaviour of other guests, or for anything that happens between guests after the event. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The terms that apply to your ticket are the ones published when you bought it, and we will email you if anything material changes before your event.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
15. Questions
Email info@letsautomate.info. If you are unsure about anything on this page, ask before you buy a ticket rather than after.
